2007 Ford Van Conversion For Sale

THIS VAN IS NOW SOLD!  Thank you for your interest in following our blog and the changes we made to the van.  We appreciated everyone's interest.

We haven't posted anything on this blog for more than 2 years as we bought a 40-year-old boat and have been living and working on restoring the boat, using the van to get around and for small trips.  Our van has now been sold.

Updates to the van not included in the blog include moving the sink and closet to give us more space when using the table.  The sink came off the side wall and was moved up to the back of the driver's seat.  The closet is now moved to the side of the bed behind the panel shown in this picture.

We also built a couple of "hide-y-holes" for protecting our valuables.  One is in the floor by the sliding door, and is hidden by the throw rug.  The other is a cabinet behind the driver's seat.  This is a tall cabinet and can be used to store a rifle or shotgun, keeping it out of view of anyone peering through windows.

We have also added a roof vent with a fan, which has 12-volt wiring.

Finally, we added a graphic on the sides so that we wouldn't look like all the other white cargo vans. Color of graphic is silver and wine.

We had fun transforming this cargo van to a camper!  We had fun traveling up and down the west coast.  For us, it worked perfectly!  With a road trip planned to Alaska and a two-year cross-country trip to see the rest of the U.S., we found a 20-year-old 23' RV that had low miles and was in good condition.  We'll upgrade this RV and use her for our future travels.

We hope you enjoyed reading this blog.  We had fun doing this along the way!  Take care and safe travels!
